Never Pronounce Bangor Like “Banger”

I was watching a documentary about Maine a couple of years ago and the narrator actually pronounced the town Bangor like “banger.” That’s almost as bad as when someone says Saco like “sack-oh.” No, no, no. Just don’t. Anyway, – insert segue here – I have a show in Bangor on the 24th and you should absolutely, 100% come. It’s at Central Gallery and, at the moment, I’m the only one playing but there may be another band(s) announced.

Show on the 10th + Interview

Don’t forget about the show on the 10th at Guthrie’s in Lewiston. I’ll start playing at 8p, but if you show up early, we can all eat dinner together! I’ll have copies of “Rest Inside” available, so bring some moo-lah to pick up a copy.

Also, do y’all remember back in May when I had a show in Boston? Well, when I was down there, I did a radio interview and played a few songs on WEMF. If you want to listen to it, check it out here. My interview starts at about 23:30.

Boom. A Video.

Watch the first live video that I’ve ever posted. Ever.

This was taken during a recording session I did about a week ago. I’ve been workin’ and workin’ on getting this next EP shot out into the universe at top speed and we’re almoooossssstttt there. While you’re waiting, watch this video. Thanks.

P.S. Yes, I was wearing PJs.

P.P.S. Don’t forget about my show in Boston in 4 days! YAY!!!

Gig in Boston!!!! WHAT IS LIFE?

This is totally not a big deal or anything, but I have a show in ONE WEEK. IN BOSTON. I’m so excited, I can’t even begin to verbalize it. It’s at PA’s Lounge in Somerville. The other artists on the bill are Daniel D’Ademo, Eddie Pinero, Sheez Late, and Erik Spooner. I’m freaking out.

Also, I have a show on July 10th at She Doesn’t Like Guthries in Lewiston, ME. I’ll be playing at 8p. Go ahead and write it on your calendar with fervored anticipation… but know I will send out a reminder (with more details!) closer to the date.

Reminder about Friday’s show

Have you forgotten about Friday? Hopefully not. Also, the people running the show wanted MLHQ to remind all of you that underage drinking will simply NOT be tolerated. Don’t do shots if you’re under the ripe old age of 21, people.

Doors open at 7p and Morgan will be on first. Come for hugs, music, copies of “Rest Inside,” and leave knowing that you just experienced the night to end all nights.

Gig at Poland Street Friday, April 17th

If you live in Maine, you know that “welcoming spring” means that the melting snow is turning our once beautiful landscape into a brown, desolate wasteland of endless mud as far as the eye can see. At MLHQ, however, we’re welcoming in spring with a gig at Poland Street!  The show will feature Morgan and two other performances by Mama’s Broke and Methuin Muir. Poland Street is a DIY performance space in the basement of an old house in Portland. Generally, going to a stranger’s basement in an old house is creepy, but this time, we promise you it is not! It’s a small venue with a huge opportunity for fun.

Doors open at 7p and there’s a suggested donation of $3-$10. Copies of “Rest Inside” will also be available for $8. Buy one for yourself, your mother, your father, your dog, and that friend you haven’t talked to in 4 years! You will not regret it.

Pits, GR33F, I’d M Thffftable, & Morgan Lindenschmidt … Oh, My!

What do all these have in common? They’re all playing Local Sprouts on March 15th!

Morgan will be debuting several new songs and playing several more off her Rest Inside EP. All in all, it should be priceless night… one to tell the grandchildren… possibly with a tear streaming down your cheek, “… and then she played Nicotine and Butane. Nothing like it. I wish you could have been there.” Missing this gig would be like missing a Beatles gig. Don’t be that person.

New Song: “Wooden Overcoat”

Morgan has been spending the winter writing and recording new songs. The goal has been to stay ever-moving and to tell new stories in different ways. The first song to be written, recorded, and made ready for listening is called, “Wooden Overcoat.” Stream it for free on YouTube. You can also buy a digital download.

If you’re interested in reading the lyrics, check out the lyrics page.

Please share with your friends! Lots of new gigs and projects are coming down the line – if you want to be the first to know, sign up to the mailing list (see right menu bar).

Thanks for listening!

Another Gig and Original Artwork

A second gig announcement in one week? Yep! I’m looking forward to playing at Local Sprouts (again!) on Friday, November 21st at 7p. I played a show at Local Sprouts back in October and it went so well that we immediately planned a second show. I hope I’ll see you there! Copies of the Rest Inside EP will be available for $8.

I also thought you might be interested in seeing the original artwork that’s featured on the cover of Rest Inside. Richard Russell is one of my all-time favorite artists and I still feel blessed I was able to work with him. Check out his work!
